Reckon BankData

Automated transaction recording that keeps getting smarter.

With Reckon BankData, CashBook Online works even harder for you by automatically uploading your bank transactions into appropriate accounts daily, therefore enabling you to reconcile your cashbook entries against your banking transactions quickly and with confidence.

This means that you will no longer have to log in to your online banking, specify dates and parameters and manually download CSV files every day, before manually uploading them into CashBook Online.

What’s more, with Reckon BankData, CashBook Online will develop a better understanding of your spending habits and transaction patterns and make your GST compliance even easier. As you start mapping your transactions to relevant GST rules, Reckon BankData learns to identify certain transactions and their GST type by applying smart rules per transaction. Once a pattern has been established, for example your local supermarket transactions, Reckon BankData will automatically upload them into your cashbook, with the correct GST rules already assigned!

Budgets in CashBook Online allow you to create company budgets for a given period, such as a full financial year. And you are free to specify your own starting points by using your company’s budgets from last year or even by using data from another budget.

Budgets are broken down into Payments (money out) and Receipts (money in) and split per month and transaction category. Best of all, once you enter your budget figures into CashBook Online, you can instantly view a visual representation of your monthly budget and how it compares to last year’s. This can immensely improve your understanding of your monthly budget expectations, particularly if you find it hard to deal with budgets with multiple accounting categories across several months.
You may be running a one man show, or you may have a business partner and maybe a few employees. You also have an accountant and/or a bookkeeper. What if you could share your cashbook with the right people at the right time, and with the confidence that you have total control of who can see and do what?

With CashBook Online - you guessed it - you can.

All you need to do is to set up any users you want via the ‘Share CashBook’ option on the CashBook Online control panel and you can choose what privileges you prefer to allocate them. For example, you can choose that a certain user only be able to view data, without the ability to edit anything.

Additionally, you can share your cashbook with your tax professional. For example, once your Accountant or Bookkeeper has set up your company financials, you can then start recording your transactions and they can ensure the ongoing quality of your cashbook’s data.
CashBook Online is a fully online application that requires no downloading of software, no installation and no updates or upgrades. You can rest assured that every time you log in to CashBook Online, you are running the latest version of the software. It really is that simple.

But with CashBook Online our engineers have gone one step further.

Need offline access? Simply right-click anywhere on your cashbook and select ‘Install’. Within mere seconds an up-to-date version of your cashbook will be installed on your computer’s desktop for you to continue working on, should you no longer have access to the internet.

And when you get connected to the internet again, CashBook Online will automatically detect any changes made to the offline version and prompt you to sync them to your online cashbook.

Did we mention it works on both Mac and PC? For more information, visit system requirements.
