Improved reporting with Reckon Financial Statement designer
The new Reckon Financial Statement Designer (RFSD) will change the way buinesses and accountants prepare statutory reports. With the RFSD, statutory reports (aka AIFRS or XYZ reports), will come as a standard and can easily be generated directly from within QuickBooks Hosted accounting software.
For businesses, the new RFSD will mean your accountant will be able to simply log into your QuickBooks Hosted accounting software via the internet to prepare ASIC required statutory reports; there will be no need for you to provide files on a USB or via email. For your accountant, this approach means that there is no need for double handling of data.
The new RFSD is exclusive to QuickBooks Hosted. We anticipate that this new tool will be very valuable to users operating a range of entity types. It will improve efficiency for accountants and help ensure statutory reporting is accurate. The RFSD is an important addition to the QuickBooks Hosted software and forms part of Reckon’s overall plan to provide a comprehensive cloud offering that improves the way businesses interact with accounting professionals, government agencies and other stakeholders.
Easily see the information you need to help you make the right decisions when dealing with your customers. The Customer Snapshot shows at a glance:

• How long a customer usually takes to pay
• The products the customer most commonly purchases
• Any credit limits set against the customer
Gain control of your accounts payable and avoid overpaying by using new popup alerts that remind you of credits owed to you by a supplier.
Now either gross or net amounts can be entered into journal entries, saving you, your accountant or bookkeeper time and ensuring greater accuracy of your accounts.
With the new release of Reckon GovConnect, the application now provides enhanced search for the AUSkey keystore file, a new default search period to help you find your obligations for the BAS, and QuickBooks simplified BAS figures can now be more easily imported or refreshed when changes are made.
