How do I activate my QuickBooks Hosted product purchased in-store?

If you purchased a Reckon Online product in-store, you can activate and register your licence online. Simply visit the and use your Installation Key Code (IKC) which is found on the front of the CD sleeve contained in your product box.

What are theSystem requirements to be able to use QuickBooks Hosted?

QuickBooks Hosted is accessible from any PC running Windows XP SP3, Windows 8 and Server 2012, Windows 7 SP1 or Vista SP2 and has Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 installed. If you are using Windows XP SP2 you will need to run the below patch.

When I attempt to login, I receive an error advising me that I am using an incorrect username or password

  1. Make sure you have “QBi\” before your user number (ie “QBi\1234567-1)
  2. Secondly, login usernames are always 7 digits in length, you may have to add zeros to the front of your login number. (ie your number is 1234-1 then you will need to change to QBi\0001234-1)

How to buy online as a first-time user

  1. Choose the Reckon Online product most suited to your needs.
  2. Complete your registration and payment. You will need to provide personal details for accounts purposes and have your credit card ready. Payments can be made with Amex, Visa and Mastercard.To buy online now, click here.
  3. Access your account. You will receive the product login URL, a Customer ID and PIN once you have made a purchase so you can access the Reckon Online Management Centre (ROMC)

 

Are you an existing Reckon Online user?

Setting up:

  1. Choose the new product you want to purchase from the Reckon Online website
  2. Access your account in the Reckon Online Management Centre (ROMC). You will need your Customer ID and PIN
  3. Choose “Manage Users (add product/service)” from menu on right hand side of screen
  4. Select the service you want to add to your account and complete your payment details. You will also be able to set security measures against roles and manage passwords

Please note: If you have forgotten your login details for the ROMC follow the prompts to have them emailed to you.

Are you an Accountant, Bookkeeper or existing Reckon Online user wanting to purchase a product for another user?

It’s easy to purchase new products or add users to your products. Just follow these steps:

  1. Access your account. You will need your Customer ID and PIN to access the Reckon Online Management Centre
  2. Choose "add user" from menu on right hand side of screen
  3. Select the product/service from the drop down menu
  4. Complete the user and payment details. You will also be able to set security measures against roles and manage passwords

Activate your Hosted product purchased in-store

If you purchased a product that is available through the Reckon Online environment in-store, you can activate and register your licence online:

  • Follow the activation instructions found in the box. For example, to activate QuickBooks Hosted simply open your internet browser, go to the ROMC
  • Click on ‘Activate Your Product’ and use your Installation Key Code (IKC) which is found on the front of the CD sleeve contained in your product box
